The actress also expressed her intention to focus on her professional commitments rather than engage in what she described as attention-seeking tactics.

The controversy stems from a complaint related to a wedding event scheduled for November 16, 2017, in Moradabad. According to reports, event organizer Pawan Verma alleged that Ameesha Patel had been paid an advance of ₹14.50 lakh to perform at the wedding as per the contract. Arrangements for her stay at a hotel on Delhi Road in Moradabad were also reportedly finalized.

The complaint states that the actress did not arrive in the city on the scheduled date. It further claims that while a portion of the payment was returned after discussions, the entire amount was not successfully reimbursed. As per the allegations, ₹10 lakh was returned in cash, while a cheque of ₹4.50 lakh allegedly bounced. This reportedly led the organizer to seek legal recourse, resulting in the case being taken up by the Moradabad court.
