Actor and former Miss India Celina Jaitly has opened up about the painful reality behind her 15-year marriage with Austrian entrepreneur Peter Haag, revealing that the relationship was marked by years of alleged abuse before she decided to take legal action. The actor recently reflected on the ordeal while discussing the domestic violence case she filed against her husband in a Mumbai court.

Jaitly, who married Haag in 2010, had largely stepped away from the film industry after her marriage and moved abroad. As part of her legal plea, Jaitly has sought significant compensation, including damages reportedly amounting to ₹50 crore, citing emotional distress and the loss of professional opportunities due to the situation. She has also sought monthly maintenance and other financial relief while the case proceeds.

The legal dispute has also drawn attention because the couple shares three children. In addition to the domestic violence complaint, questions surrounding custody and financial arrangements are expected to form a key part of the proceedings.

Reports indicate that the case has complicated cross-border legal issues as well. Haag is based in Austria, and divorce proceedings were reportedly initiated there earlier, even before Jaitly filed her complaint in India.
