Bangladesh on Friday named their squad for the three-match ODI series against Pakistan in Dhaka, their first international series after withdrawing from the T20 World Cup. The series will start on March 11, with the remaining matches scheduled for March 13 and March 15 at the Shere Bangla National Cricket Stadium.Bangladesh last played an ODI series at home against West Indies in Mirpur, where they won the three-match contest 2-1.Afif Hossain has returned to the ODI squad for the first time since December 2024. Mahidul Islam has been retained from the squad that played the previous ODI series against West Indies in October 2025. Litton Das has also returned in the team despite a run of low scores in the format.Nurul Hasan, Jaker Ali Anik and Shamim Hossain have not been included in the squad. Hasan Mahmud (tennis elbow) and Tanzim Hasan Sakib (back injury) remain unavailable due to injuries. Both players are expected to recover by the end of the month.Bangladesh selection panel chairman Gazi Ashraf Hossain explained the selection decisions, including the call to retain Litton Das.“There may be questions about Litton Das’s recent ODI form, but he has been working closely with the coaches on his game. We believe he can soon produce his best in this format and are considering him as an option to strengthen the middle order.
