Speaking to one of the media houses, Joyce revealed that she had traveled to Dubai to celebrate her elder sister’s birthday. During the visit, she also celebrated her own birthday. However, her return journey to Mumbai, which was scheduled for March 3, was abruptly cancelled. “My return was scheduled for March 3rd, and I was supposed to fly back to Mumbai, but we received a notification that our flight had been cancelled due to the war,” she shared.

Despite the alarming circumstances, Joyce emphasized that she feels secure in Dubai. She recounted witnessing missiles being intercepted in the sky, calling it a frightening sight but reassuringly noting that authorities are managing the situation effectively. “It was scary, but the Dubai military is doing a great job. I have to say I feel safe here,” she said. Joyce also mentioned that her daughters, Malaika Arora and Amrita Arora, are in Mumbai and remain in constant touch with her.

“They call me three to four times a day. We stay connected all the time,” she added, expressing hope that she will be able to return home soon as some flight operations gradually resume. The ongoing geopolitical crisis has created uncertainty for many Indian families with loved ones stranded abroad.
