Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor has confirmed that his much-awaited film Love and War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, has been postponed. The film, which also stars Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, was originally scheduled for release earlier but will now arrive later than expected. Ranbir confirmed the delay during an Instagram Live session linked to his clothing brand. While he did not reveal the exact release date, he gave fans a major hint about the film’s new timeline.

Love and War to Release After Ramayana Part One
During the live session, Ranbir Kapoor revealed that Love and War will release only after the first part of his upcoming epic film Ramayana. In Ramayana, Ranbir will portray Lord Rama, marking one of the most significant roles of his career. The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, will be released in two parts on the occasion of Diwali across two consecutive years. The star-studded cast includes Sai Pallavi, Sunny Deol, Arun Govil, Yash, Ravi Dubey, Vivek Oberoi, and Raghav Juyal in key roles.

Since Ramayana Part One is expected to release in October, Love and War may arrive later, possibly in December 2026 if production stays on schedule. Love and War has already seen several changes to its release plan. Initially, the film was scheduled for Christmas 2025. Later, the release was shifted to March 20, 2026. However, fresh reports in early 2026 suggested that the film could be pushed further to 2027 due to pending shoot schedules and extensive post-production work.
