On MCX, gold futures also gained momentum, with the April contract increasing by Rs 2,089, or 1.34%, to Rs 1,57,540 per 10 grams in 8,279 lots on the MCX.Precious metals saw strong gains in futures trading on Monday, with silver climbing nearly 5% to Rs 2.61 lakh per kilogram and gold rising to Rs 1.57 lakh per 10 grams. In overseas markets, gold rose $81.69, or 1.64%, to $5,061.49 per ounce.
