Sarma said that he and his wife Rinki Bhuyan Sarma will file criminal and civil defamation cases against the Congress leader within the next 48 hours.The sharp response came after Khera, in a press conference, raised a series of questions regarding Sarma\u2019s wife, alleged foreign properties, and financial links, while also demanding an investigation into the matter.In a post on X, Sarma strongly rejected all allegations and accused the Congress of spreading false narratives.\u201cToday\u2019s press conference by Pawan Khera reflects the deep frustration and panic within the Congress party<\/a>. As Assam moves decisively towards a historic mandate, such desperate and baseless attacks only expose their sinking ground.\u201dDenying the charges, he said: \u201cI categorically reject every allegation made by him. These are malicious, fabricated, and politically motivated lies aimed at misleading the people of Assam.\u201d\u201cMy wife and I will be filing both criminal and civil defamation cases within the next 48 hours against Shri Pawan Khera. He will be held fully accountable for his reckless and defamatory statements,\u201d Sarma wrote. Expressing confidence in the legal process, he said: \u201cI have complete faith in the judiciary.
