Family members of veteran screenwriter Salim Khan were seen arriving at Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai on Tuesday after the 90-year-old was admitted to the ICU.In visuals from outside the hospital, several members of the Khan family were spotted checking in on his health condition. Superstar Salman Khan<\/a> arrived along with his mother Salma Khan. Producer Arbaaz Khan was seen with his wife Shhura Khan, while daughters Alvira and Arpita also reached the hospital.The younger generation of the family was present as well, with Arbaaz\u2019s son Arhaan and Sohail Khan\u2019s son Nirvaan visiting their grandfather. Veteran actress Helen was also captured arriving at the hospital on Tuesday morning.Apart from family, several close friends from the film industry were snapped outside the hospital premises in the evening. Actor Sanjay Dutt and veteran screenwriter Javed Akhtar were among those who dropped by. <\/p>\n

Hospital issues official statement<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n

As per a statement issued by Dr Jalil Parkar of Lilavati Hospital, \u201cSalim Khan was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital under Dr Jalil Parkar in the ICU at 8.30 am on Tuesday morning. He was brought into the emergency by their family doctor, prompting emergency care. Salim Khan was later shifted to the intensive care.\u201d\u201cHe is stable but is under close observation in regards to his clinical status,\u201d the statement added.A team of specialists \u2014 Dr Vinay Chavan (neurologist), Dr Ajit Menon (cardiologist), Dr Nitin Dange (neurosurgeon) and Dr Bineet Ahluwalia \u2014 attended to the veteran screenwriter following his hospitalisation. <\/p>\n
