In November 2010, Karyna Shuliak enrolled at the Spanish American Institute in Midtown Manhattan. On the day of her citizenship interview, one of Epstein\u2019s regular immigration lawyers sent a celebratory message: \u201cnow that she\u2019s an american you should throw her a big ole party,\u201d the lawyer wrote. \u201cwith a mechanical bull, red white and blue balloons, and deep fried snickers bars on flag toothpicks\u201d.Shuliak began divorce proceedings in October 2018, months after becoming a citizen. The divorce was finalised less than a year later. <\/p>\n The files also show efforts to secure work visas for women associated with Epstein.His long-time legal adviser, Darren Indyke, filed a work visa application for one woman, citing her volunteer work with Epstein\u2019s foundation and her modelling career.In other cases, lawyers sought O-1 visas, reserved for individuals with \u201cextraordinary ability or achievement,\u201d describing applicants as accomplished in modelling, communications, public relations and art curation. It is unclear how many petitions were approved.A former bookkeeper for MC2 Model Management said in a sworn deposition that Epstein guaranteed a $1 million credit line to the agency. Its founder, Jean-Luc Brunel, was accused in a civil lawsuit of bringing underage girls to the US for sexual purposes and supplying them to Epstein. Brunel died in 2022 while facing rape charges.\u201cMr Epstein was paying for the visas.
