BENGALURU: What began as an Instagram business contact spiralled into an alleged honeytrap, with a 31-year-old Jayanagar entrepreneur claiming he was forced to pay Rs 10 lakh and hand over valuables \u2014 only for his intimate videos to be sent to his wife anyway.The man stated in his police complaint that he came across the woman in Aug 2024 while exploring promotional opportunities for his business on Instagram. The two met at a caf\u00e9 and subsequently developed a close relationship. The man alleged that the woman later began demanding Rs 1.5 crore, claiming she had recorded their private conversations and intimate moments. She threatened to share them with his wife and other family members.
