He is teaming up with Priyadarshan again after 14 years and fans are waiting for the film. While he’s currently promoting the film, he recently opened up about a deeply emotional incident from his early childhood, one that his family believes was nothing short of miraculous.The actor shared that his birth itself was the result of his parents\u2019 prayers at the revered Vaishno Devi Temple<\/a>. Recalling the story, he said, \u201cMy mother and father prayed at Vaishno Devi<\/a>, asking for a child. They specifically requested, \u2018Give us a child, but let him be naughty.\u2019 And a year later, I was born,” he shared during a chat with HT city. However, what was meant to be a thanksgiving trip to the temple after his first birthday soon turned into a frightening ordeal. Akshay revealed that during the journey, his health deteriorated rapidly. \u201cMy parents took me along, but on the way, I suddenly fell very ill. I had a high fever, first 103\u00b0F, then 104\u00b0F, and I became unconscious. The doctor in Katra advised them to take me to Delhi. This was in 1969, and there wasn\u2019t proper medical care available in Katra at the time.\u201dDespite the alarming situation, his mother chose to place her faith above fear. She believed that, \u201cIf Mata Rani (the goddess) has given us this son, then if she wishes, she can take him back. But we won\u2019t turn back; we will continue our journey to the temple.\u201dDetermined, his parents continued the uphill trek, chanting \u201cJai Mata Di\u201d as they made their way to the shrine. Akshay recalled the moment vividly: \u201cThey had dressed me in a red frock which I still have, and I was unconscious. They bathed me inside the temple, offered prayers, and were crying as they prayed.\u201dIt was then that something extraordinary seemed to happen. A stranger approached his father and said, \u201cYour son has a beautiful smile.\u201d Akshay added, \u201cMy father turned towards me, and I was smiling. And truly, my temperature dropped to 98\u00b0. I was completely fine. I\u2019m not sure which medicine they gave me, but there was something about the energy there that made me get better on my own.\u201d ‘Bhoot Bangla’ is set to release in theatres on April 16. <\/div>\n\n
