NEW DELHI: Revealing the reason for the timing chosen for Operation Sindoor<\/a> last year, Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi has said that Indian Army<\/a> deliberately delayed a planned strike to avoid disrupting \u2018namaz\u2019 at a terrorist camp.In a podcast, the Army chief said the operation involved flexible timing, but the commanders kept in mind the time for prayers. \u201cWhen we were to destroy these targets, the timing was 2 o\u2019clock, 4 o\u2019clock, anytime. But we made sure that when the people on the other side were going through their \u2018namaz\u2019 prayer in the terrorist camp, we said this time will not touch, because \u2018sabka malik ek hai\u2019. And that’s why we chose a time when we knew that it was not,\u201d General Dwivedi said.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n
