The pilots declared PAN PAN to seek a priority return to Mumbai.<!-- --> Some passengers reportedly saw sparks from the engine during take off and heard a sound.<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"3\"\/>An Air India spokesperson said: &#8220;Flight AI2812 from Mumbai to Bengaluru on April 9 returned to Mumbai shortly after take\u2011off as a precaution due to a suspected technical issue, in accordance with standard operating procedures. The aircraft landed safely and is undergoing detailed technical inspections in line with Air India\u2019s safety standards.&#8221;<span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"7\"\/> <span class=\"id-r-component br\" data-pos=\"9\"\/>&#8220;We regret the inconvenience caused to our passengers. Our Mumbai airport teams provided immediate assistance, and an alternative aircraft was arranged to operate the flight.
