We expect that unimpeded freedom of navigation and global flow of commerce would prevail through the Strait of Hormuz,” it added.The statement comes after Iran, the United States and Israel announced a two-week ceasefire, with Tehran indicating it would enter negotiations with Washington in Islamabad starting Friday.US President Donald Trump<\/a> initially said Iran had proposed a \u201cworkable\u201d 10-point plan, but later dismissed it as fraudulent without elaborating. Hours before the ceasefire was announced, Trump had issued a stark warning, saying, \u201cA whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,\u201d if Iran failed to agree to terms that included reopening the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.In Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu<\/a>\u2019s office said it supports Trump\u2019s decision to pause strikes against Iran for two weeks.
