Two Arrested for Pro-Khalistan Graffiti in Delhi Linked to Canada Plot | Delhi News – The Times of India
NEW DELHI: Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested two men on Thrusday in connection with pro-Khalistan slogans found written at two locations in the capital ahead of Republic Day on January 26. The accused have been identified as Baljinder, an ambulance driver, and his associate Rohit alias Kirat.Police said the duo was allegedly hired by a close associate of Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) founder Gurpatwant Singh Pannun to carry out the act. According to investigators, the plan was hatched in Canada, and the accused were promised Rs 2 lakh for defacing public property with the slogans.A senior police officer said the alleged mastermind, a resident of Tilak Nagar in west Delhi, had travelled to Canada a few days before January 26 and remained in direct contact with Pannun during the planning and execution of the act.
