“You Were Our Missing Child”: Supriya Pathak Opens Up About Her Warm Bond With Mira Rajput Kapoor – Woman’s era Magazine
Veteran actor Supriya Pathak recently shared heartfelt words about her relationship with daughter-in-law Mira Rajput Kapoor, revealing that she never saw her as an outsider after her marriage to Shahid Kapoor.

In a recent interview, Supriya said that Mira blended into the Kapoor household so naturally that the family never felt like someone new had entered their lives. According to her, Mira always felt like she belonged there.
She even jokingly told Mira that she was the family’s “missing child” who had finally found her way back home. Supriya explained that she has never thought of Mira merely as a daughter-in-law, but rather as a part of the family itself.
Mira Joined the Kapoor Family at a Young Age

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput Kapoor tied the knot in 2015 in an arranged marriage introduced through the Radha Soami Satsang Beas community. Mira was just 20 years old at the time of the wedding.
Despite the spotlight that comes with being married to a Bollywood star, Mira gradually carved out her own identity and became an integral part of the Kapoor family. Today, the couple has two children, Misha and Zain who often appear in family moments shared by the Kapoors.
A Loving Bond Beyond Labels

Supriya also reflected on how family relationships should move beyond rigid labels. She emphasized that she never approached her relationship with Mira from the perspective of a typical saas-bahu dynamic. Instead, she sees Mira simply as family. The veteran actor believes Mira’s warm personality helped her become deeply connected with everyone in the household from the very beginning.
Grandchildren Bring Joy to the Family

Talking about the younger generation, Supriya said her grandchildren bring immense happiness to the household.

Her daughter Sanah Kapur also revealed that Shahid and Mira’s daughter Misha shares a special bond with Supriya and often chats with her about everyday happenings in her life.
