Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have reportedly strengthened security at their Mumbai home following an alleged threat directed at the actor. According to sources, Ranveer received a menacing WhatsApp voice note, prompting the couple to take precautionary measures to ensure their safety and peace of mind.

The couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone have strengthened security outside their Mumbai home following a reported threat. According to an official letter from their housing complex to the Dadar Police Station, armed personnel have now been stationed at the residence. The move comes after claims that Ranveer received a threatening WhatsApp voice note allegedly demanding crores of rupees. Authorities are said to be reviewing the matter for further investigation.

Hindustan Times obtained a letter sent to the police station stating that the couple had deployed six armed security personnel without obtaining permission from the Society Managing Committee. The letter further mentions that an additional uniformed police officer has also been stationed with the two actors for security purposes.

Meanwhile, the Committee voiced serious concern about the safety and comfort of other residents, noting that armed personnel were moving with weapons through the lobby, gym, and children’s area. The open letter called for police verification and clear clarification on whether official permission had been granted by relevant authorities concerned.

Ranveer Informs Police About Extortion Threat; Security Tightened Outside Residence

A report by India Today stated that Ranveer alerted the Mumbai Police upon receiving the extortion threat, prompting authorities to increase security outside his residence immediately. Police have since initiated an investigation and are working to identify and trace the person responsible for sending the voice note. More updates are expected as the inquiry progresses in the coming days ahead.

Dhurandhar is currently streaming on Netflix, while its second part is scheduled for a theatrical release on March 19 next year.
