While showcasing their home, Remo was asked about the multiple idols and religious symbols placed around their space. The house reportedly features statues of Mother Mary and Buddha, along with shrines dedicated to Lord Ganesha and Lord Shiva, a reflection of their inclusive belief system. Lizelle D’Souza shared that although she was born and raised Catholic and holds her faith dearly, she has grown spiritually to embrace other religions, especially Hinduism.

Speaking about what spirituality means to her, Lizelle said, “It’s very important for me, and for him too. I was born Catholic, he was born Hindu and later converted.” Her statement highlights how the couple’s relationship has evolved into one rooted in mutual respect and shared faith rather than religious boundaries. Remo D’Souza spoke about the time he informed his parents about his desire to convert to Christianity.

When asked whether he faced pressure or resistance, the choreographer revealed that his parents were supportive. “No, I think my parents were very easygoing,” Remo said. Lizelle, however, playfully added, “They weren’t that simple, but they became so later when my first son was born.” Remo further explained that when he told his father about wanting to join the church more formally, his father responded with a simple request, “Okay, do it. Just don’t change my surname.”

As a result, he adopted the name Remo Gopi D’Souza, maintaining a connection to both his roots and his new faith. Let us tell you that in 2025, Remo and Lizelle were seen attending the Maha Kumbh Mela, where Remo shared a video of himself taking a holy dip in the sacred waters of Prayagraj. The moment reflected his continued connection to Hindu traditions despite his conversion. The couple also visited the Tirupati temple, further demonstrating that their spiritual beliefs transcend labels. For them, faith appears to be about devotion and inner peace rather than religious identity.
