Rakesh Bedi Denies ₹1 Crore ‘Dhurandhar’ Bonus Rumours, Says ‘Mere Account Mein Toh Nahi Aaya’ – Woman’s era Magazine

Veteran actor Rakesh Bedi has dismissed reports claiming that he received a ₹1 crore bonus following the success of Dhurandhar: The Revenge, clarifying that no such amount has been credited to him.

The speculation around the alleged bonus gained traction on social media and entertainment portals after reports suggested that Bedi was rewarded by the makers for his performance as Jameel Jamali in the blockbuster franchise. Some claims even stated that he was initially paid ₹50 lakh and later given an additional ₹1 crore as a gesture of appreciation.

However, reacting to the buzz, Bedi dismissed the reports in a light-hearted manner. Responding to questions about the bonus, he said that he had not received any such payment, joking, “Mere account mein toh abhi tak nahi aaya hai,” effectively rubbishing the claims.

The actor further added humour to his response by questioning the whereabouts of the money, saying he would also like to know where it was if such a bonus truly existed. His remarks have since gone viral, reflecting his characteristic wit while addressing the rumours.

The speculation had emerged in the backdrop of the massive success of the Dhurandhar franchise, directed by Aditya Dhar and headlined by Ranveer Singh. The sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, has been one of the biggest box office performers of the year, crossing major milestones globally.

Bedi’s role as Jameel Jamali, a Pakistani political figure, received widespread attention, with his dialogue delivery and comic timing becoming particularly popular among audiences. His character’s lines also gained traction on social media, contributing to the film’s cultural impact.

The renewed attention around the actor has been notable, with many describing his performance as a standout despite the presence of a star-studded cast. Reports have indicated that his role helped bring him back into the spotlight, marking a significant moment in his long career.

While the bonus rumours added to the buzz, Bedi’s clarification has put the speculation to rest. His response highlights the gap that often exists between circulating reports and verified information, especially in the case of high-profile film successes.

In this instance, the combination of the film’s performance and Bedi’s popularity contributed to the spread of the claim.

Despite the rumours, the actor continues to receive praise for his work in the film, with audiences and critics acknowledging his contribution to the franchise’s success. His performance has been seen as a reminder of the impact of strong supporting roles in large-scale productions.
