Divya Dutt Shared Her Experience On Veer Zaara Set

Talking about the incident, she said: “One experience would be, I am crazily clumsy. And we were doing a scene where Shah Rukh is supposed to come and I am supposed to get up. So the walls were made of POP, of course, it was a set. And when I used to get up, I was sitting on a chaarpai. So as soon as I got up, the chaarpai would get up. And the whole wall would fall down.”

The actress also added, “I have a problem with laughter. So if I start laughing, I can’t stop it. I mean, if I see someone laughing, I am done. Now there’s Yash Chopra, there’s Aditya Chopra, there’s like everybody right there. And there is Shah Rukh. So I was very embarrassed.”

She shared that despite trying to remain composed during another attempt at the scene, things still did not go as planned: “I did the same thing. I said, now I will keep a little less excitement. This time it will be very good. I don’t know what I did in the process. The entire wall fell on me. I was anyway very embarrassed. But I was laughing. So I said, man, I can’t do this. I can’t laugh in front of them.”

She went on to say, “Suddenly, I see this Shah Rukh controlling his laughter. Tears in my eyes. That’s it. I am done. I started laughing. He started laughing. We couldn’t stop. And Yash uncle, standing there said, ‘If you both are done, let us know. Till then we will fix the wall’. It was hilarious. But I must say, working with Shah Rukh is one of the finest experiences I have had as an actor.”
